Moody's Mega Math Challenge (M Cubed Challenge)
A regional math competition for High school juniors and seniors in
states along the east coast, including Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland,
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island,
South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. Schools may enter as many
as two (2) teams comprised of three (3), four (4), or five (5) high school juniors or seniors
from the same school. Teams solve an open-ended, realistic, and challenging modeling problem
focused on real-world issues. Student teams download the Challenge problem from the website
and work to solve the problem on their own, at the place(s) of their choice, and on the day
of the Challenge weekend (Saturday or Sunday) that they selected at the time of registration.
Student teams then upload their solution paper by 9:00 pm that same day.
